Description: Well into the second day of its closure "due to repairs", security personnel at the Albuquerque Wal-Mart Supercenter at 301 San Mateo BLVD., Albuquerque, New Mexico, have today linked what was originally thought to be a simple electrical failure to reports of a UFO in the area. Normally, the Wal-Mart Supercenter remains open every day except Christmas.

One member of the security team on duty today, who preferred not to be named, stated "I'm not saying that a UFO shut off the power to our Wal-Mart; frankly, everybody's being real hush-hush about what actually did shut down the power, because it was weird, the way it happened. But UFOs have done this before, and you have to take it into consideration."

The same source later added, "I didn't see a UFO, but I know of three witnesses who have come forward, saying they did. All three were customers here at Wal-Mart, and all three say they saw this UFO immediately before the power went out. You can't just ignore that."

The power at the Wal-Mart Supercenter shut down for the entire store Tuesday night, July 13, around 8 p.m. It was a very localized power outage that only affected the supercenter itself, and all of the lights in the parking lot. Other than the McDonalds restaurant inside the Supercenter, no other businesses were affected. Street lights utilizing the local civil power were also unaffected, although the electrical grid for the Wal-Mart is also supplied by the same local system. This has raised some issues with the electrical teams trying to bring the Wal-Mart system online.

"The electrical guys still haven't figured out what the problem is. Everything just shut down," one member of the security team stated. "They called in extra security to escort everybody from the store last night, 'cause it was already getting dark outside. It was a real mess."

UFOs were reportedly videotaped by numerous individuals in various New Mexico locations on July 4.

An Albuquerque, NM, witness also reported a silent, "brilliantly lit white ball" hovering in the night sky on March 4, according to records from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database. Witnesses in Albuquerque reported as well a series of orange spheres moving across the night sky on March 21, 2010, that appeared to fly in a V-formation, according to MUFON. Additional UFO reports were made in Albuquerque on March 30-31.
