Juarez Mountains El Paso, Texas A Classic Flying Saucer

Date: 1949 or 1950
Time: Daylight sighting.

Many years ago on one (I was about 13 years of age) occasion in 1949 or 1950, my family and I observed a UFO over the Juarez Mountains just south of El Paso, Texas. It was a shiny object silently gliding over a small ridge. Several other people also saw it also. I was interested in airplanes at that time so I carried a 7 power telescope with me that I managed to rescue and repair from Ft. Bliss which is in El Paso. I saw a classic "flying saucer" silvery object with my scope.

Now in my old age I see another one. At that time I was an experienced "observer " for my age since Ft, Bliss and Biggs AFB presented the sky's over El Paso with all types of airplanes, so I knew it was not a plane of that era, no helicopters at that time, or swamp gas in the Chihuhua desert.
