Description: I'm not sure exactly what month it was, but it was a warm night in Georgia and I think it was early or late summer. My step- father had been home from work for just a few minutes (he worked 2nd shift and got home around 11:15pm) and he was standing outside drinking a beer on the front porch because the weather was nice. Then he called me outside sounding very excited and when he pointed to the sky, I understood why.
This is what we saw: there was a set of 5 red and white lights that were stationary and appeared to be one large ship, for lack of a better word. The lights were in a sort of diamond shape with four of the lights on the outside and one in the middle, but I cant remember exactly which ones were red and which were white.
My step- father and I were more interested in the smaller objects which consisted of a single white light for each one. Some of these were coming out each side of the larger object and some were going back in. The traffic in and out was continuous with three or four going in and out each side at all times. They would fly out at a moderate speed and then accelerate quickly until the light became a streak and then disappeared. The process was reversed for the ones coming back, a streak would appear and then slow down and then disappear into the lights of the larger object.
I cannot emphasize enough, the numbers of objects was incredible, and we watched for 1½-2 hours and then went back inside. We were in shock and couldn't really take it anymore. Unfortunately, we were poor and didnt have a camera of any kind, and my stepfather passed away in 1993.
We both told many people of the incident but, also unfortunately, we didnt call the authorities. I have seen several other things nothings but none as disturbing as this sighting of what we considered to be a "mother ship" with smaller ships travelling in and out to destinations unknown.
