UFO SIGHTING REPORT

WEST OF TEXAS/OKLAHOMA BORDER

Approach Direction: At a 20 degree angle to I-40 approaching from the southwest

Departure Direction: Northeast

Witness Direction: East

Description: I was driving east on I-40 on June 30, 1997 with my wife and one of my sons on the way to Memphis, TN. I was driving 100 miles per hour when this flashing blue light appeared. It was so bright that I awakened my wife and my son who were sleeping. They said to me what is it to which I said a state trooper, but when we looked behind us there was nothing there. The light was approaching at a high rate of speed from the southwest about 200 feet above us. When the object was directly over us the lights went out. I was straining to see out of my window and I could make out a large cylidrical object about 100 meters in diameter
