Shape of objects: A large, upside-down "V", gold in color.

Full Description of event/sighting: This was the first UFO I had seen, almost 7 years before my second sighting in Virginia. I was only about 10 years old, and I was in my backyard sitting on one of our benches. Something caught my eye, and when I looked up there was a large upside down V in the sky, which moved across the sky at a steady speed. I got a very good look at it for about 1-2 minutes before it disappeared over a mountain range. Each arm of the V may have been about 20 feet long if my memory serves me correctly. Thanks.
