When I ran my old UFO group EMUFORA from 1990 - 1998, I gave countless radio interviews for my local BBC radio station, BBC Radio Nottingham. Last year, the first time since 1998, I gave another interview for the station which must have caught some of the BBC's staff's attention, because this month, my services were required again, but not for an interview.

BBC Radio Nottingham's web page designer Mr Neil Heath asked if I would like to be included on their web site as their 'number one UFO guy". I accepted and will now be helping them with local sightings from the past to the present, to help with a database for UFO sightings reported over Nottinghamshire. This database will NOT affect UFO NEWS UK, and any old reports and new information will be available to both BBC Radio Nottingham and UFO NEWS UK. Anyone wishing to pay a visit to the site can visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham . Look out for the UFO pages and my name; Anthony James. The web address for BBC Radio Nottingham will be displayed at the end of each newsletter. Ed

This pictures from UFO and 'Crop Circle' Researcher and 'Truthseeker' Mathew Williams has captured what appears to be a triangular craft over Alton Barnes in Wiltshire, UK. "Is this a UFO over the Alton Barnes white horse??? Mathew asked, "I took this on my Digital Camera. I cropped it and the original photo is much bigger and higher detail and not recompressed via JPEG. Weird shape, I'm stunned. As I look at it even more I increased the contrast and god alive, a triangular outline. I didn't know this was on this shot. Wow. I shot a triangular UFO on my digicam. I'm excited".

Matt Williams UFO Picture 1
(Note: Original image reduced in size for UFOINFO website)

I received the full sized picture and it was about 4 times larger than this above before having anything done to it. The full original picture has been reproduced above and squashed to fit it to this page. The other image below has been cropped and magnified by Mathew Williams for closer inspection. The image has only been made darker to highlight the 'object' and it clearly shows what appears to be a triangular craft. I sent the image through Adobe Photo Deluxe, enlarged the triangular image and went through a process of trying to decipher the image, including altering the

Hue, Saturation and Lightness to all extremes. I can without a doubt state that this image is on the original photo and NOT a 'cut and Paste' job. I had the image enlarged so big, I could follow the lines of pixels and could have counted each one if I wanted. This is a 'one-shot' picture.

I've known Mathew Williams for a good ten year, long enough to ask him straight out if it was a fake. I believe his answer when he said "I didn't see the "thing" but yes I agree it does look very suggestive of a triangular craft. Very excited at this. No it is not a fake. No worries", Matthew.

I've been in company with Mathew many times when he's been telling strange stories to people, and unlike a lot of others out there, his stories always remained the same, never adding 'spice' to make it that little bit more interesting. Mathew is the type of guy who tells it how it is whether you like it or not. He's not afraid to ask even the BIG BOYS the most awkward questions. He's a law abiding rebel after the truth, a Truthseeker. You will find other researchers comments below. The picture, well you'll have to decide for yourself.   Ed

"My first thought was damaged negative, but the file name suggests that it was taken using a digital camera. My current thought is that it could be the sun behind the clouds-perhaps the camera (being more sensitive to invisible light) detected it more clearly than the observer? There is no more detail than in this post, e.g. time of day/direction faced.                    Cheers, Joe

Dear All,
A good friend of mine Matthew Williams sent me a photograph which he took fairly recently near where he lives. He makes no claims for it other than to pass it into the UFO community for their comment.              Sincerely, Malcolm Robinson.

The photograph was taken with a digit camera but I do not have any details of it. I have seen the complete frame and it would appear (from shadows) it was taken in the early afternoon. The camera is looking almost due north and the sun is behind and a little to the left of the camera. Although there are plenty of clouds in the image, Matthew was standing in direct sunshine when he took the image. I am not sure of the date but it is probably in the past couple of days. I am not sure what it is, but does not seem to be a solid object. To me the faint triangle around the lights visible in the contrast increased image is just light scattered in the lens system of the camera. The white objects are burned to peak white so there is no detail available there. Regards   Russell

I don't know if you saw this just posted at Skywatch Discussion. If this isn't actually the next speech Kennedy would have made, it is not hard at all to imagine President Kennedy saying these things 38 years ago. Interesting that it claims that Kennedy met with Eisenhower just before his assassination. The Disclosure Project reveals that Eisenhower was growing very concerned that the ET/UFO question was beginning to be dominated by non-governmental influences. Perhaps Eisenhower asked Kennedy to reveal the truth before it slid too far out of control. Possibly Eisenhower's residence was bugged.           Michael

"Citizens of this Earth, we are not alone."

With those dramatic words, President John F. Kennedy intended to inform the American public and the world at large that the U.S. government had made contact with aliens from deep space. But before he could deliver the speech on November 22, 1963, the beloved leader was cut down by an assassin's bullets. That is the astonishing claim of JFK researcher Professor Lawrence Merrick, author of an upcoming blockbuster book Killing the Messenger: The Death of JFK.

"We now know the real reason why President Kennedy was assassinated," declared Prof. Merrick of Cambridge, Mass. "It appears that some individuals within our government were determined to maintain the secrecy surrounding captured UFOs and decided to silence the President before he could speak." Prof. Merrick says he began a search for the undelivered speech after learning the President's original hand-written notes had fallen into the hands of Texas Governor John Connally, who was riding in JFK's death car that fateful day in Dallas. "I was surprised to find that Kennedy handed Connally the speech, which was on note cards, to look at, shortly before the motorcade set off at 12:55 p.m.," said Prof. Merrick. The governor was badly wounded in the gun attack. "Connally was terrified for his own life," said the historian. "He placed the bloodstained index cards in a safety deposit box with orders to a trusted aide that the contents not be revealed until after his death."

When Gov. Connally died in 1993, the aide removed the cards and held on to them. Last year, Prof. Merrick tracked down the aide, who passed the speech on with a guarantee of anonymity. Prof. Merrick was flabbergasted when he read the cards. He took them to five handwriting analysts, who agreed the speech was "95 percent certain" to be Kennedy's. Research reveals that just days before his trip to Dallas, JFK met with his predecessor Dwight D. Eisenhower, notes Prof. Merrick. "I believe he was seeking advice on whether to go public with the facts about UFOs," Prof. Merrick said. "But other government insiders apparently felt the truth about UFOs would cause widespread panic. And they were willing to kill to keep the information secret.

"I hope now the President will give the speech that should have been delivered 36 years ago." Here is what the President would have said:

"My fellow Americans, people of the world, today we set forth on a journey into a new era. One age, the childhood of mankind, is ending and another age is about to begin. The journey of which I speak is full of unknowable challenges, but I believe that all our yesterdays, all the struggles of the past, have uniquely prepared our generation to prevail.

Citizens of this Earth, we are not alone. God, in His infinite wisdom, has seen fit to populate His universe with other beings, intelligent creatures such as ourselves.

How can I state this with such authority? In the year 1947 our military forces recovered from the dry New Mexico desert the remains of an aircraft of unknown origin. Science soon determined that this vehicle came from the far reaches of outer space. Since that time our government has made contact with the creators of that spacecraft.

Though this news may sound fantastic - and indeed terrifying - I ask that you not greet it with undue fear or pessimism. I assure you, as your President, that these beings mean us no harm. Rather, they promise to help our nation overcome the common enemies of all mankind - tyranny, poverty, disease, war. We have determined that they are not foes, but friends. Together with them we can create a better world. I cannot tell you that there will be no stumbling or missteps on the road ahead. But I believe that we have found the true destiny of the people of this great land: To lead the world into a glorious future.

In the coming days, weeks and months, you will learn more about these visitors, why they are here and why our leaders have kept their presence a secret from you for so long. I ask you to look to the future not with timidity but with courage. Because we can achieve in our time the ancient vision of peace on Earth and prosperity for all humankind.

God bless you.

Every time the UK's 'UFO MAGAZINE' issue their annual UFO Directory, I get an influx of letter from all over the place. In this years particular batch, I received a letter from Poland with photo-copied sheets of paper of what appears to be a UFO over Nottingham's City centre. Nottingham is the 5th largest city in the UK and is my home 'town'.

The letter and picture's were send by Piotieus (Peter in English) who is now an Architect and Engineer. At the time when the picture was taken in 1976, he was the six year old in the picture. The family had come over from Poland to visit relatives in Aspley, Nottingham, and were obviously being shown around the sight's of Nottingham when the picture was taken.

The original picture is in colour, as Peter remembers looking at the negative when he was little and remembering that the mystery object showed up red on the negative. The negative and photographs was treated as any other set of holiday snaps and eventually put away, not to be disturbed for a long time. He believes the negative is still in the families possession and is trying to locate it for further study. Also, on the original picture according to Peter, the picture is clear enough tell the time on the clock in the distance.

If this mystery object was a conventional aircraft, then it should be a lot higher, as, depending which direction it was going, it would be heading for disaster. Only half a mile behind and to the left of the Council House building in the background, there are two 'tower blocks' of apartments which rise up above the Victoria Shopping Centre. Also in that area are several other tower block standing near Brook Street and tower blocks of apartments in nearby Sneinton. Like everyone else, I have seen airliners fly low over the city centre, but not this low.

In the meantime, I'm in the process of getting the original or a copy from the negative so I can have a closer look. If and when I get the picture, I'll let UFO NEWS UK subscribers have a sneak preview first.

It all started at 5 a.m. on the morning of January 12, 1954. A group of aboriginal people were breaking camp in the Hart's Range, about 160 kilometres (100 miles) from Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. As they watched the sunrise paint the eastern horizon a riot of bright colours, they heard a curious sound over the hum of the bullroarer.

"The Aborigines heard a strange whine coming from the east, from across the vast central Australian desert. Then, from under a cloud, came a screech and something streaked across the sky. The natives knew the sound of planes very well, and were sure it was not a plane. It startled them so that they rushed to the camp of an Australian prospector, Mark Mitchell, and woke him and his wife. It (was) the first time a saucer had been reported in this region." The first time, to be sure, but not the last. In the days that followed, reports poured into "the Alice," descriptions of orange and green fireballs, strange white lights and silvery daylight discs.

On February 18, 1954, "a queer object streaked with a roar over Alice Springs, N.T. at 4:30 a.m. It was neither a jet nor any other type of terrestrial plane, says the Australian civil aviation traffic control."

The newspaper Centralian Advocate in late January 1954 published a photo "of a saucer, black, and over 150 feet (45 meters) in diameter, seen hovering over Mount Gillen. It whizzed off at terrific speed, and its size was enormous. The picture showed the thing was circular in shape and had heavy veins running to the rim of the circumference."

From "the Alice," the UFO flap spread to Australia's Victoria state. "An extraordinary unknown object was seen high over the beach at St. Kilda," near Melbourne (state capital of Victoria--J.T.) "At 11 a.m, the same object, like a large sheet of aluminium, rocked from side to side and flashed in the sunshine. Each flash was accompanied by an enveloping purple halo. It did not seem to give off light of its own, emitted no vapour, and it looked like a big silver butterfly. Speed computed at 1,800 miles per hour (2,880 kilometres per hour); altitude (was) 30,000 feet (9,000 meters); and must have been over 300 feet (90 meters) wide."

In Hamilton, Vic, 150 kilometres (90 miles) west of Melbourne, witnesses "reported sighting a dazzlingly bright orange thing, like a double saucer, the top one inverted. First seen at 9:45 p.m. it left a vapour trail lasting 20 minutes. An amazing object, like a large planet, moving swiftly vertically, then sideways was seen between 2:30 and 3:15 a.m. over Adelaide," the capital of South Australia state. The UFO was "yellow-white, shading to deep orange." Next, a man and wife saw a bright point of light circle the space ship (UFO) at high speed over Adelaide, S.A.

Two days earlier, a strange object with a corrugated top, seen flashing crimson lights (appeared) low on the horizon in Sale, Vic, 120 kilometres (72 miles) east of Melbourne. At 7:40 p.m. the same day, February 10 1954, pilot Booth in an Australian National Airways plane saw dead ahead, high in the sky, "a very large unknown object moving erratically." Booth's Douglas DC-3 was over Jamestown, S.A, 160 kilometres (100 miles) north of Adelaide at the time.

Something is out there - in Laughlin, Nevada

LAUGHLIN, Nevada USA. - Are we alone, or just arrogant?

At the 11th annual International UFO Congress convention and film festival - where many participants say they have met aliens, studied purported military log-books detailing the high -tech prowess of their bright craft, or been abducted for tests. The truth as they say, is out there, and the 450 conventioneers at the River Palms Resort are on a quest for hard fact. They're stopped, they say, only by an arrogant government that want to cover up facts of aliens, the paranormal and things that would make The X Files look pale in comparison.

"People need to be reminded that the government can and does keep secrets, and very well," said Ryan S. Wood, President of www.majesticdocuments.com, a privately funded research organisation based in Menlo Park, California, that specialised in leaked classified government documents. "They kept the Stealth Fighter secret for many years".

The recently held one-week conference, which attracted a smaller crowd of about 450 this year but is still billed as one of the world's largest. It's a forum for people who say the truth has been scrubbed out by the government, afraid of losing it's power and sharing the wealth of alien technology. "The great crime of the cover-up, is that the government has deprived the world of an opportunity to have an higher standard of living, advanced electronic technology and a chance to solve many of the medical problems of the world", said Wood.

Wood, like many others at the conference, said that "Area 51 is the likely home of about 1,000 of the brightest military research scientists in the world. They are studying crashed alien craft like that reportedly recovered from the famous incident in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico", he said. "Fibre optics, a relatively new technology, may have been developed in part, through 'reverse engineering', studying crash remains of alien spacecraft", Wood said.

Much of the conference is based on proving the existence of alien craft and sightings.

Investigative reporter and author Nicholas Redfern, who has published three books, said his research of "British and American government documents available in national archives has shown that the vast majority of sightings can be explained. But there is a small corpus of sightings from qualified professionals, like pilots and radar technicians, that is harder to dismiss". said Redfern. Reports logged by British Royal Airmen, describe aircraft travelling at 3,000 mph then 'screeching to a dead stop, "something that would tear a pilot's body apart" said Redfern. He also points to British Air Ministry regulations from 1958 that instruct airmen not to speak to the press about UFO sightings, calling it a violation of the Official Secrets Act.

Other conventioneers were less engaged in recovering physical signs of alien life and instead searching more for the spiritual side. Rob Baldwin, a 57 year old retired real estate developer and exotic plants hobbyist, was one of them. He has made it his job to talk about 'being a galactic citizen' to just about everyone he meets, he said, whether it's a neighbour in his home town of San Diego or an unsuspecting counter mate at the diner.

"Much of being a galactic citizen means simple things", he said, "Like taking better care of the planet. After all, we lead a relatively primitive lifestyle. It also means finding forums like the UFO conference, or Pahrump resident Art Bell's national radio show, to glean information not available in the mainstream media.

Like many at the conference, Baldwin had an experience early on when he was 16. He was out on a Saturday night to drink some beer with three buddies, driving a 1955 Ford Coupe' through Michigan farm country. They hadn't been parked 15 minutes when an iridescent, egg-shaped craft appeared right in front of them. "It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen", he said.

For Baldwin, that early experience, which he said he and his friends didn't talk about for 25 years, was important in grounding his faith. "It was like sitting down and having lunch with God", he said. "If you could do that, then you wouldn't have any doubts either".

On the night of 15th February this year, at approx.7pm, Mr Mark Herbert witnessed a unique 'Flying Triangle' incident while driving towards his home at Ticehurst, East Sussex. Mr Herbert describes the event:-

"I was driving home from work at about 7pm and cutting across Rosemary Lane by Bewl Water Reservoir (A man made lake) when my attention was attracted by a distant pulsating red light hovering over the water. I stopped the van and stepped out for a better look. It was then that I saw the red light was glowing in the centre of a large black triangular craft hovering over the lake. The night was cold, but there was a clear sky and a slight breeze.

Sketch of sighting
(Note: Image reduced by 25% for UFOINFO website)

The triangular craft was about the size of a Jumbo Jet and apart from the pulsating 'fuzzy' red light in the centre of the craft, there were three white/bluish lights positioned at each corner. I watched the craft for several minutes. There was no sound and I could see it quite clearly. Normally, you can hear ducks and wild fowl in the area making quite a din, but at that moment, there was complete silence.

The triangle was hovering quite stationary at first and then began to move across the lake slowly, and I could see it's reflection on the water. It flew point forward and then it gathered speed slowly, turned on it's axis until it was flying flat side forward as it passed behind me. The central pulsating red light began to dim as it moved away heading East. The white/bluish' lights on the corners could be seen changing to amber as it increased speed. Then quite suddenly and moving at incredible speed, it shot off and then stopped about two miles away. It appeared to be hovering over Badgeburry pine forest in the distance. (Mr Herbert later discovered that there is a microwave communication tower in that area).

After a while, with the triangle still hovering in the distance, I got into my van and drove away. The whole incident had taken something like ten minutes. I checked the time on the van clock and I also telephoned home during the incident.

Three days later, on the 18th February, again at around 7pm, I was again heading home on the same road and approaching the Bewl Water Reservoir area. This time I spotted a white high top, long wheelbase Transit type van parked at the same position where I had, when viewing the flying triangle. It had an open roof with doors that were folded open and a large satellite dish pointing up into the sky. It also had two aerials positioned at the front of the roof above the cab.

As I approached the van, the FM channel on my radio cut out. At that time, I was about 20ft away from the van and the radio did not come back on until I was 20ft passed the van. The white van had no markings on it and I saw nobody in the drivers cab. After I had passed the van, I looked back and saw that the large dish aerial was wider than the van and was possibly 8ft in diameter. I have no idea what it was doing there and I have never seen it parked there before.

Omar Fowler states that well known UK researcher and ex-police officer Tony Dodd, mentioned in the past, that men in white overalls, using white plain unmarked vans have been seen at the site of other earlier UFO incidents. It does seem to be more than just a coincidence when they appear at the scene. Thanks to Omar Fowler of the P.R.A. (Phenomenon Research Association) based in Derbyshire, UK. Article was taken from their excellent newsletter OVNI. Watch out for the incoming advertisement for their group activities, mag details and contact details, and more articles.

A Flying Triangle was tracked across England on March 3, 2002. UFO investigator David Kingston received reports of a bizarre triangular craft with red and blue lights, zooming across the skies from Cornwall to Poole. The mystery machine was first spotted in St. Austell.

There were also reports of it not far from Lyme Regis later the same day, then over Portland and Poole. Mr. Kingston, who first witnessed unexplained flying objects while serving with an RAF intelligence unit during nuclear tests in the Pacific, is at a loss to explain the latest sightings. He says: "I received a number of consistent reports of a craft flying over the West country on February 15 and there is nothing like it in the world aircraft guide. It was said to be triangular, 100 feet long with red lights all the way up on the right hand side and blue lights on the left hand side. "Underneath was what appeared to be a very large light, in the middle, glowing pale electric blue through to purple with a corona surrounding it. "Four or five people witnessed it and described it as gliding silently at about 2,500 feet. It was described as hovering quietly at Portland. The last sighting was near Poole, about two hours after the first." Kingston first heard aircrew talk of seeing UFOs, during the nuclear tests on Christmas Island in 1957, he has catalogued hundreds of reports and witnessed many strange sights himself.

On Saturday, March 9, 2002, in the evening, Melody J. reported, "I saw some strange 'planes' Saturday night. I live out in the country (rural Ellis County) and I usually don't see as many planes as I used to when we lived 25 miles (40 kilometres) from the Dallas/Forth Worth (international) airport. We were coming home that night and "the 'lights' kept just fading into existence, just showing up out of what seemed like nowhere. Well, it started with two. Then three, then four, then five, then six. Six glowing lights were sitting there, so it seemed. You don't see that many planes out here at one time, so what were they?"

"Gradually, each one of them seemed to 'turn' and more towards the left from where I was looking. When they turned, they had blinking red lights and seemed to fly off. Until there were just three sitting there. They formed a triangle. By that time I was standing in my driveway watching, saying "What the *!#?" The middle one moved from the right over to the left, forming the triangle again. The other two were just sitting there. About that time, we went inside and I have no idea where they went. This was not typical for the Palmer night sky. Palmer, Texas is on Interstate Highway I-45 about 30 miles (48 kilometres) south of Dallas.
Many thanks to Louise A. Lowry for this report.

Between 8:30 to 8:45pm CDT, of March 14, 2002, I witnessed the sighting of a UFO which remains a total and complete mystery to me. Driving northward towards the small Texas town of Joshua (population about 7,200) from my hometown of Cleburne, Texas, the night sky was very clear without a cloud to be seen. The temperature was a cool 61 degrees F. There was a possible light wind out of the due south, and the stars were faintly seen at this point in time and in location.

My sight was drawn to the obvious huge light in the low sky (about 35 degrees from the horizon), which was just short of being the size of the full moon, When I state that my sight was ‘drawn’ to this object, ‘compelled’ to look, also comes to mind. It was a soft, white light, not glaring, nor hard to look at, seen in the due north-Northwest. My driving speed was about 55 mph. As I drove on northward on highway 174 towards my friend’s house in Joshua, I noticed that this huge light was not getting larger or smaller. I thought it to have been a low flying private airplane of some sort (Note: commercial jet airliners would not be found in this part of the sky, as they are always heading north of Cleburne to the west of town then they bank to the east towards the Dallas/Fort Worth airport, and if they are departing D/FW airport and heading south towards Austin or Houston: they fly to the far east of Cleburne, but in either case, they never fly directly over Cleburne).

Just as I realised that this huge light could not have been an airplane as it was devoid of ‘belly lights’ and ‘wing-tip’ lights; the softly glowing light blinked out. As I drove on, now out of the city limits and driving up the bridge that crosses over the railroad tracks at about 50 feet above the ground, but high enough to see clearly, it re-appeared with colored lights all about the object, so many that it took my breath away. Having been a Veteran of the war in Vietnam and also worked my first job back from the war at Delta Airlines, I certainly know the placement of ‘ID’ lights on airplanes, helicopters and all ‘known’ earthly aircraft. These lights were nothing at all like standard aircraft lighting. There were just too many of them of too many different colors.

I drove on as the mileage grew in approaching this object, which was heading in my direction (its path would have been to the due south) just to my left, or to the west of me. It was huge. I compared it immediately to the Super Dome in New Orleans, or about 400 to 500 feet across and about 200 to 300 feet in height, based upon the placement of these mentioned outwardly seen lights.

As for these lights, there were three small blinking lights on top at ‘dead center,’ which were, from top to bottom, red, soft yellow and white. All were blinking in an odd pattern of off and on, very swiftly. They were evenly stacked atop of each other. Below these center lights, the area underneath was completely dark to my vision, yet obviously, solid in nature, since the lights were certainly fixed. Outwardly from the center to either end, the distance was amazing at several hundred feet. I judged the distance between this object and me to have been about two miles. The lights at either end were solid, softly lit and multi-colored, yet larger in size than the center top lights. Some were blinking and some were not. They were placed in a very odd fashion with no reasoning as they were staggered in placement. There were about 4 to 5 lights at either end of the object.

To the bottom side, these lights were the oddest, as otherwise, ‘belly lights’ of normally ‘known’ aircraft have a single red blinking light with white and either red or blue ‘wing’ lights found latterly. These bottom lights were strung out all along the bottom, making again, no known pattern or reasoning to their placement. They, too, were multi-colored and were all of the same brightness, which was not so bright as to have been difficult to look at. As I approached it and it was approaching me, I decided to pull over to the shoulder of the road and to stop, which I did. By now, the huge object was almost even with my car to my left. It was now completely obvious that this object was no more than 1, 000 feet off of the ground and VERY huge!

I turned off the car engine and stuck my head out of the driver’s window to listen for any noise which may have been emitting from the object. There were NO SOUNDS whatsoever. The huge object was travelling so slowly, that if it had of been a known aircraft, it would have fallen from the sky. I watched in pure and total amazement as the object just glided by me within one mile from my position, I was speechless, and on this part of the country highway that I know so well. This was just outside of the city limits where there are only a few farm houses spread out in the area with patches of remote woods to my left and right sides as well as to the front. The huge object glided on by not making a sound, not making an effort to turn, climb, ascend nor descend, as I watched it and etched the size and its likely shape within my awe-struck mind. Regrettably, I had no camcorder, nor still picture camera to record this.

It continued on its course to the due south and drifted further away. It was still within my sight as I started the engine of the car and drove away, I was very calm. I affirm that the above details of this amazing ‘sighting’ of a huge UFO on Thursday evening, March 14, 2002, is a true accounting and submitted to the best of my ability.
Sincerely, in truth,
Jason Greywolf Leigh
