Dear UFO NEWS UK readers,

As most of you know from last July's edition, (Editorial from July 2nd below) I have been contemplating closing the newsletter for some time. This IS the last issue! I suppose I ought to explain how I've come to this decision. After over 20 years of being interested in this subject and 13 years of active research, you come to some decisions of what you believe. I have been at this point for a few years now and I know what I believe. The facts are all there for anyone to find, as they say, "The truth is out there". Now I know that sounds corny but it's true.

I have had the usual family upbringing belief systems changed whilst studying this subject, and I believe it was for the better. As most kids are brought up, I was taught the usual religious stuff and told that there IS a god. I believed! Then at the age of about 13 or 14 while I read my own bible, I began to question what was written, just like ZACHARIA SITCHIN. This led me into a massive search for answers and I believe I found the answers that I was looking for. I am proud to be an Atheist.

If there is one thing that pisses me off, it's people that talk generally and are not aware of what they are saying or implying. For example, if someone asked: "Do you have the time on you"? the answer is "YES", (if you are wearing a watch that is). What they should be asking is "Can you tell me the time please"? then you should be given the time. OK, so now you know where I'm coming from.

Take a few hundred Astronomers and ask them how the universe was created. Most of them will give you something like the big bang theory and that the planets were created over thousands and millions of years. Then after a short while, we had the huge prehistoric animals which we know existed because we've got the fossils. After a few million years, these died out and eventually came 'man' (term loosely used). If these basic facts are to be believed then it stands that 'man' never encountered such things as the Dinosaur. Another fact is that the prehistoric animals never saw a blade of grass, because grass never existed back then. What I'm saying here is, as the facts are laid down by the scientist, astronomers and alike, is, this progress must have taken millions of years to evolve. (their words not mine).

OK, So what we have is the scientist and historians telling us that the Earth along with the universe took millions of years to evolve, and I agree with them. We then get the same scientist and historians who go to their church on a Sunday and pray to a god they believe in, who according to the bible made the Earth and Man in a week! This belief should automatically wipe out the big bang theory, millions of years off our solar systems evolution should simply be wiped away and all fossils from prehistoric animals can only be explained away as fakes. Now wait a minute, they can't have it both ways! They have to make up their minds to what they believe.

As stated below in my previous statement, I have tons of materiel that needs to be sorted into some kind of format, as to what format yet, I don't know. One of the other reasons and the main reason I'm closing this down is, I feel myself being pulled into another direction and I can't ignore this. I have had several uncanny jolts recently, shoving me in this particular direction, that I feel that I'm being guided, by what I don't know but I get the feeling that it's going to be a fantastic journey.

Another reason, (and this is minor compared to the above), is I'm being targeted by people or a certain individual with viruses and junk mail and I have a lot of important information on this computer that I can't afford to loose. Some one out there is subscribing me to porn sites, mobile phone sites, ski-ing holiday sites, clothing, car, animals, space and several other sites I don't have an interest in. I unsubscribe just about every other day and it's beginning to piss me off a bit. Therefore, I have decided to change my e-mail address and work un-hindered by these so called 'researchers and Ufoligists'. I will only let my most trusted and closest colleagues have my new e-mail address, and any information that I believe should be put out, will be 'put out' through these individuals. As for the newsletters that I'm subscribed to, these have been cancelled and I will join with a new server under my new I.D. I also find this to be an ideal time to upgrade my PC and go onto Broadband. Anyone who thinks I'm being pushed out of Ufology is wrong. I will continue my research but the only difference is that I'll be working in the background and in the shadows, unseen. Remember, I'll be watching.

By the time you read this, I will have disconnected myself from Freeserve and hooked up with another ISP. I have already gone! I would like to thank all my 408 readers around the world and all the others who read this newsletter on certain web sites as listed below. The only advice I can give you is to subscribe to other web sites newsletters and use the info for your own search for the truth. I have included a list of sites for you to visit and a group listing for other newsletters you can subscribe to, no matter which country you are in. Some of the web sites also offer you free subscription to their newsletter, feel free to subscribe to these.

Vol. 1. No. 21.
DATE: 2nd July 2002.

Hi there everyone, well it's been nearly a month since I sent a newsletter out and I've been doing some serious thinking since the last time you all heard from me. I got a virus on my PC which really pissed me off. Once this was cleared, I took some time out I found myself doing things I had not done for quite some time; going through my old filing cabinets, checking out photographs, reading files of my old UFO investigations etc, etc. There was so much work there and tons of information. I also had to sort through countless slides for the talk I had to give in Bonsall. I somewhere along the line decided to close this newsletter for good as it was taking too much of my time. This was to have been my last issue.

At the Bonsall lecture on June 26th, I was given an excellent introduction by my old friend Graham Birdsill from the UK's UFO MAGAZINE. This newsletter was mentioned and praised, and along with other comments fellow researchers made, made me think twice. One comment from Omar Fowler to my wife made me realise how much time I was putting into the newsletter, "...the last time, it was 12 pages long"!!! said Omar. CHRIST! I didn't realise some people might be printing this out.

OK, I need to get some time back for myself. I've decided to carry on with the newsletter but to drastically cut it's content. I'll be having either one large main article along with the latest UFO sightings, along with the picture feature, or two small 'main' articles, again with the UFO sightings and picture feature. Any additional information will be directing you to a web site as in the article below about Scotland.

The reasons I need to get some time back for myself are many, but one of the main one's is my work schedule. I've recently transferred to a closer office to my home and I have to learn how this office works and who does what. My work area could and probably will change every week within the office, which means I have to dedicate time in preparing for my upcoming week. I have also been asked by a friend and a relative to teach them to drive, more time taken up. As stated earlier, I'll be cutting the content of the newsletter. I'm due for two weeks holiday later this year and while I'm away, I'll decide then what to do with the newsletter. If I do pack up the newsletter, I'll give you all the links to my network of information so you won't miss out. Watch this space!!

A formerly top secret, bat-winged stealth jet has taken the aviation world by surprise, after a low key unveiling in St Louis, Missouri. It may look like it flew straight off the screen of a sci-fi movie, but the Bird of Prey is no flight of fancy - it could translate into serious business for its makers, aerospace giant Boeing.

"Here we have an example of a classic 'black' programme: an aircraft which has been built and flight tested for a number of years - and no one outside the programme knew about it," says Nick Cook, aerospace consultant to Janes Defence Weekly. Other highly classified aircraft that have ultimately been revealed included the U-2 and Blackbird spy planes and the B-2 stealth bomber.

Bird of Prey in flight Bird of Prey

The Bird of Prey cost $67 million and is the product of Boeing's advanced research and development division, the Phantom Works. It first flew in 1996 and is said to have demonstrated a range of stealth and production technologies. It is a single seat, single engine design and with a reported maximum altitude of 6100 metres (20,000 feet). Its top speed is a relatively sedate 480 km/h (300 mph).

The unconventional configuration of the Bird of Prey suggests it has been designed to be highly agile and stealthy. But even though the aircraft itself has been revealed to the public, the stealth systems designed to suppress acoustic, infra-red, radar and even visual signatures are likely to be as highly classified as ever. Sources suggest they may include active camouflage systems to reduce visibility by using panels or coatings that change colour or luminosity. This could allow safe combat missions in daylight, rather than being restricted to night flying. "And that would represent a revolutionary milestone in aerial warfare," says Cook.

It is known that such technologies have been studied for several years, most probably at the remote test site in the Nevada desert near Groom Lake, better known as Area 51. This was also the probable location for the Bird of Prey's 38 test flights.

A key aspect of the project was that the aircraft would be inexpensive to build. Phantom Works engineers say they used disposable tooling and 3-D virtual reality for its design and assembly.

It has not been confirmed whether the Bird of Prey was ultimately intended to be manned or unmanned. But the aircraft has clearly had a major influence in the design of Boeing's unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) demonstrator, the X-45. Two of these pilotless combat planes are currently undergoing test flights.

Armed UCAVs are among the hottest projects in military aviation, having the obvious advantage of not risking life, as well as being cheaper than manned aircraft.

Cook is not surprised that the Bird of Prey was at least initially a manned aircraft, as this helps gather performance data. "You may be sure that lessons learned from this programme will find their way into both manned and unmanned aircraft, not simply in terms of flight characteristics, but crucially in the method of design and production," he says. And any company that steals a lead on its UCAV competitors stands to win very lucrative development and production contracts in the future.

In the meantime, I'll leave you with two quotes that I totally agree with;

"Atheism is the world of reality, it is reason, it is freedom. Atheism is human concern, and intellectual honesty to a degree that the religious mind cannot begin to understand. And yet it is more than this. Atheism is not an old religion, it is not a new and coming religion, in fact it is not, and never has been, a religion at all. The definition of Atheism is magnificent in its simplicity: Atheism is merely the bed-rock of sanity in a world of madness."

"The library is the temple of learning, and learning has liberated more people than all the wars in history." - Carl Rowan
